About MemStrata
Why it exists, who built it, and how to get in touch.
MemStrata started from a simple frustration: AI coding tools kept sending my entire codebase to the LLM on every prompt, and the token bills kept growing while the suggestions kept drifting out of context.
The problem isn't that AI coding tools are bad — it's that they solve context the wrong way. Naive retrieval-augmented generation dumps the closest-matching chunks into the prompt without understanding the dependency graph. You get bloated context, worse recall, and a monthly API bill that grows with your codebase rather than with your actual usage.
MemStrata is the layer that sits between your AI tool and your LLM provider. It builds a local graph index of your codebase, compresses context intelligently per request, and tracks exactly what it saved you — in tokens and in dollars — on a local dashboard. Everything stays on your machine. The only server call is a signed license token to verify your subscription.
The money-back guarantee isn't a marketing line. It's a mechanical commitment: if the dashboard shows your savings were less than your subscription cost, Stripe automatically credits the difference to your next invoice. We only profit when we demonstrably save you money.
